The Art of Wine Making
Petroni Vineyard's winemaker, Timothy Crowe, offers study groups every other Wednesday at Petroni Vineyards from 10:30am until 12:00pm.

Tim's love for wine has led him around the world and back to us with a wealth of knowledge about winemaking techniques and grape varietals. The Wednesday study groups will focus on how to assure that each wine made reflects the terroir from which it came.

Your time will be well spent with:

• A tour of our vineyard with an introduction to Viticulture practices;
• Then back into the Winery to learn about machinery required and processing techniques.

An exploration of:

• When, where, and how extraction proceeds;
• And the delicate balance required during fermentation.
• Also, to macerate or not to macerate.

Ending the session with questions, answers, a quick bite to eat and of course a sip of our unique estate wines.
