KITCHEN
Upon seeing the Belle de Jour Inn kitchen guests realize that cooking is taken serious here. The industrial grade equipment is not just functional but also a delight to the eye. Gleaming copper pans lavish the walls. Each morning an ever changing breakfast is prepared using the freshest local products available. Quite often the fresh fruit and jams are from the property. Summer months bless us with an abundant supply of vegetables and herbs to create delicious frittatas and omelettes. Morning wouldn't be complete without espresso, latte, cappuccino or mocha starting as early as 7:30 a.m. See you there!

GROUNDS
Belle de Jour Inn sits on six acres at the top of a rolling hill. It was once home to the foreman of the Parkland Farms Ranch boasting a section and a half of land within the Sotoyome Ranchera. Views to the east give us sunrises over Mt. St. Helena. Westerly views offer glorious sunsets. The original Italianate farmhouse is home to the owner innkeepers, Tom & Brenda Hearn. In 1985, the Hearn's purchased the inn and began to put their touches to work. Previously the inn had been operated as a small French farm and lodging. Immediate renovation began on the cottages to create an upscale country retreat. Turning up the tree lined drive offers a glimpse of a lovely getaway. Mature pine, oak, eucalyptus and century olive trees give a visual sense that all is well here. The birdlife is abundant year round and migration offers some lovely surprises. Hummingbirds and butterflies frequent the many flower and vegetable gardens. Coveys of quail, families of jackrabbits and an occasional deer find quiet respite at the Belle de Jour Inn.

AREA & GETTING THERE
The location just two miles north of the plaza of Healdsburg couldn't be better. Healdsburg, now considered the jewel of Sonoma County, has become a destination. Fine restaurants, galleries and shops grace the downtown area. Located just 70 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, this area of Sonoma County offers all of the bounty and beauty that is California wine country. Three major appellations wrap themselves around Healdsburg, the Dry Creek Valley, the Alexander Valley and the Russian River Valley. In near proximity are the Chalk Hill and Green Valley appellations. Over 100 wineries are available for wine tasting and tours. The area is quite popular for bicycling.
