Among the redwood trees and manicured lawns of a secluded seventeen-acre park in the heart of Healdsburg, you’ll find Villa Chanticleer, a charming venue that will put you in mind of a gentler, more graceful time. Built in 1910 as a country resort, the Villa has a rich history of hosting weddings, receptions, birthday and anniversary parties, luncheons, bridal and baby showers, memorial services and other special events. Guests to the Villa appreciate the peace and beauty of the lovely surroundings. When you arrive on the Villa grounds, take a moment to enjoy the many large Oak trees, the fresh air and deer grazing on the hillsides, the perfume of wisteria and birdsong. As you cross the stone steps to enter the main Villa, notice the wide wrap around porch shaded by a fragrant, wisteria covered arbor. Passing through the front doors, you enter into an open, high ceiling lobby. The U-shaped bar directly off the lobby is surrounded by eight large booths, perfect for a quiet drink or conversation. The doors to your right lead to the Dining Room; those on your left open to the Ballroom. Each 3,000-square-foot room features redwood paneling, light Maple hardwood floors and scenic views. In the Dining Room, large picture windows look out over the beautiful Alexander Valley. From the Ballroom, you look out onto the hillside covered in oaks, maples and bay trees. A centrally located, modern commercial kitchen is easily accessible from both rooms, adding to their versatility.
