Sizzling Lineups of August Activities
SONOMA COUNTY—Though the days may be hot, Sonoma County's August
nights are sizzling with a lineup of music, food and fun that
will have you spreading your blanket on the cool, green grass
all month. With a virtual guarantee of good weather (and mercifully
temperate evenings), the end of summer is packed with after-dark
activities for the whole family—from movies on the lawn to fairs,
blues, barbeques and some good old shimmy shaking. So grab your
lawn chairs and come along. Summer won't last forever!
Sonoma
County Fair
July 24 - August 7
Rides, cotton candy, flowers, homemade apple pie and all the
farm animals you can possibly stand, the Sonoma County Fair
is an old-fashioned hoe-down. For those less interested in
daytime fun, musical acts and grown-up fun last well into the

Moonlight Movies 1st and 3rd Thursdays at Dusk
Live Music, BBQ 2nd and 4th Thursdays 5pm
Through August 31
A farmers market, music and vendors gear up at 5:30 to get you
in the mood. Followed by a moonlight movie classic at 8:45pm.
Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner, or dine in downtown Windsor.

Cloverdale Friday Night Live
August 4
A live, open-air performance in downtown Cloverdale Plaza, brought
to you by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance. Performing: Plum Crazy,
a music group that blends jazz fusion funk, alternative country,
soulful vocals, sweet two-part harmonies and original songwriting
skills to create hypnotizing melodies. Begins at 7:30pm. (707)

Annual Jazz in the Meadow, Healdsburg
August 5 - 9
Three nights of hot jazz, featuring the Dave Miller Trio and
Rebecca DuMaine. Advance reservations required. Stromberg Vineyards,

August 12
Get together with family and friends and enjoy "Mrs. Doubtfire" outdoors
and under the stars at McNear Park in Petaluma. Concessionaires
will offer dinner, drinks, snacks and desserts. Entertainment
before the movie. Movie begins at dusk. Bring warm clothes, blankets

Healdsburg's Annual Street
Dance
August 12
Get your groove on at this annual event. Food and novelty booths
will be set up around the Plaza and the live music starts at
7 pm. A DJ will be making music in the gazebo for the younger

Festival

Whether you're an accordion player, or just someone who loves…well,
accordion music, this historic event draws a huge crowd every
